" Vinita is a Senior Business Leader with over 2 decades of diverse experience in the Media Industry across multiple platforms of TV, PRINT, RADIO, DIGITAL and SPORTS. She has worked for some of the top International & National Media Brands like - STAR TV Network (FOX/DISNEY) - SONY Pictures Network - ZEE Entertainment - Times of India (World’s Largest Read English News Paper) - Radio City, 91.1 FM - Hindustan Times (India’s most respected Newspaper) - Ethnic Channels Group, Canada - Kabaddi League (India’s Indigenous Sports League) After spending more than 15 years in the entertainment space, she took a plunge into Sports and became the first woman in the country to head and be part of launch of a Kabaddi League. At Times of India she has been National head for Media, Entertainment & Sports. SOCIAL IMPACT WORK She comes from a family of freedom fighters, thus making a social impact is in her DNA. Passionate about social change, she has been volunteering parallelly for over 20 years with NGOs and spends lot of her personal time in encouraging women and empowering youth for value based education with various UN registered NGOs and is the board member of Old Age Home-Swaraj Vridha Aashram She champions Gender Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. Vinita is a B Com (Hons) from Delhi University, MBA - Marketing from EMPI and Executive education from ISB, Hyderabad She was a Doordarshan and All India Radio presenter and has written for newspapers in early days of her career. Amongst the several Awards she has received, her name is imprinted in “ASIA BOOK of RECORDS” as one of 100 Successful Women for her elevator pitch in Womennovator .Recipient of the “Honorary Journalist of the year” Award from UP Govt -MSME for her contribution in launching Zee’s Siti Cable in mid 90s, a chapter has been dedicated to her in the media Text books of Kanpur.She has recd CEO Awards from Times of india, Sony TV , Radio City and all organisations she has worked for as a change and growth driver. Her life is an inspiration to many on what a small city girl from Kanpur growing up without a father and in severe financial difficulties can turn to become with sheer grit and detemination."
