"Megha Ahuja is a young trailblazer serving as an educationist, ardent social activist, and a dynamic TEDx organizer. Passionately believing in the power of dreams, she is venturesome to take up nerve wrecking treks with audacity and optimism. After accomplishing Bachelors in Technology (Computer Science and Engineering), from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and Masters in Business Administration from Institute of Management and Technology, Ghaziabad, Megha joined as the Director of VIVEKANAND SCHOOL, a premier 43-year-old educational institution in the heart of capital with the strength of 5000 students. Her empirical skills and enterprise have propelled the inventive arena of students’ development to greater heights. She was bestowed with the prestigious INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY AWARD 2018-19 organised by ICUNR (Indian Council for UN Relations) for excellence in Education and Awareness on 3rd March, 2019. She also received Kalam Children Impact Award organized by Kalam Center for positively influencing the young minds of India on 18th December, 2016. Motivated by the suffering of her own mother, Megha has pioneered the cause of spreading awareness about Ovarian Cancer pan India. Her efforts in this line are meticulous and infectious. As the Founder of SASHAKT- THE OVARIAN CANCER FOUNDATION, she has reached out to lakhs of women through flagship events like Sashakt Warrior Championship, Sashakt Teal Party, Sashakt Hope Meet, Sashakt Wellness Carnival awareness workshops in schools, colleges and corporates; social media campaigns like #AskY ourMom, #BeASashaktAmbassador and #SashaktCrusader. She has created awareness through her radio interviews as well on 104.8 ISHQ FM with RJ Sarthak and on 107.2 Radio Nasha with RJ Akriti. She has also created a web show available on YouTube called Sashakt Talkies that is a first of its kind talk show exclusively bringing out the stories of brave cancer warriors interviewed by celebrities to inspire the world. The social penchant of Megha was featured in a two-page story by Femina Magazine in December, 2019 issue. Yourstory covered her inspiring journey with Sashakt in their article “How this woman entrepreneur is saving lives by raising awareness about Ovarian Cancer”. She is recognised as a Chetna Hero, an initiative of Prama Jyoti Foundation to appreciate and collectively reward those who have chosen goodness as their way of life. She was awarded ""Nidarr Hamesha Champion Award"" by Max HealthCare on 18th August, 2019 at Taj Palace, Delhi. Megha is the founder of UDAAN, a philanthropic school of differently abled girls wherein these children are made vocationally self-reliant by learning life skills, art and craftwork. She ardently believes that life is the right of every individual. Not a special privilege for the fortunate, the planned and the perfect. The artistic efforts of the special girls find place in different exhibitions, thus giving them a motivation to live with a purpose. Megha is also the author of “Girl on a Mission”, a micro fiction for creating awareness about ovarian cancer available on Kindle and in the libraries of various reputed schools in Delhi. It has also been converted into a short film to be released soon. Her story “Love in the Sky” was published in an anthology “Twenty Shades of Love” along with other stories by renowned authors. She truly believes that life’s goals must embrace sensitivity to the mankind, to lead it meaningfully and each one of us should contribute, in whatever ways possible, to make world a better place to live in.
