Final call for applications from Women Entrepreneurs for AWE 3.0 Idea Challenge for first cohort!
The Academy of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is an initiative of the US Govt and seeks to promote economic prosperity by creating opportunities for women with brilliant ideas to become successful entrepreneurs in more than 80 countries globally.
In India, we have nurtured more than 250 women entrepreneurs since 2020 and with support from the US Consulate Kolkata. AWE Alumni have raised more than 350 Lakhs in seed funding and generated more than 6000 livelihood opportunities in last 3 years. This year, the U.S. Consulate General Kolkata announces the launch of the 3rd edition of the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) to connect, educate and mentor women entrepreneurs across the states of West Bengal, Sikkim, and Meghalaya and we are receiving overwhelming response.
Interested women entrepreneurs can apply on the link for the Idea Challenge and get an opportunity to enroll in the Dream Builders program of the University of Arizona.
This program is free of cost. Twenty (20) high potential technology-driven start-ups from AWE 1.0 (North East), AWE 2.0 (Bihar & Jharkhand) and AWE 3.0 (Bengal & Sikkim) shall proceed to Kolkata for advanced Accelerator program, led by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and JSS Science & Tech Entrepreneurs Park, Noida where they will pitch to Indian Angel investors and top six (06) entrepreneurs shall secure a spot with a leading incubator in their states. As an added advantage, there will be Activate Portfolio Program ($5000 AWS credits per start-up, $1500 in Business support) for start-ups selected for the bootcamp subject to meeting norms.
