Womennovator Embarks on a 5-Year Mission to Accelerate Women in India with the Womennovator 10K Fellowship – DEWI 

Dehradun, India- August 10th, 2024: Womennovator, a global incubator for women, is taking strong steps to bring about significant change in India's Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. With a remarkable worldwide community of more than 200,000 dedicated individuals, the event, held at Sri Guru Ram Rai University on 10th August 2024 brought together budding women entrepreneurs, home chefs and bakers, college students with unique entrepreneurship ideas, and working professionals in a dynamic environment conducive to collaboration and growth.  

Following the successful engagement in various cities across India, the organization has now completed an impactful journey in Dehradun as part of its larger mission across 200 cities in India. 

The event was organized by Ms. Priya Gulati and Ms. Deepa Chawla, Womennovator’s Community Leaders and was graced by the presence of prominent female figures who continue to inspire and drive change in their respective fields, including Minister of State for Udayamita, Smt. Vinod Uniyal (Chief Guest), Former Minister of State Ravindra Singh Anand, Khadi Board Officer Dr. Alka Pandey, and Entrepreneur Madhu Marwa.  

Priya Gulati, the state community leader for Dehradun, delivered an empowering opening address introducing Womennovator. She highlighted the main objective of the WE Pitch competition: to provide women with a platform to present their business ideas or existing businesses and seek government support to advance them. She emphasized the rarity of such opportunities, where women can showcase their business concepts and potentially receive government funding. Acknowledging the critical need for such platforms, Priya underscored the significance of this initiative in today's context. 

The Chief guest, guest of Honour, and other distinguished guests also addressed the gathering talking about the importance of such events in empowering women and increasing their contribution towards the GDP.  

The jury was a powerhouse of distinguished leaders, each bringing their unique perspectives to the table shared their perspectives: 

Dr. Manisha Maiduly, Dean- placement cell, Sri Guru Ram rai University said, “We pitch is a super initiative that promote women entrepreneurs for startup. It gives guidelines that helps them to shine bright. They can generate employment and help the society as a whole,” 

Archana Yadav Kapoor, Director, Vedanta Education Solutions said, “Pitch competition attracts investors and customers. Since it is a presentation, it helps drafting a business idea in a precise and clear manner. Pitch competition provides an opportunity to showcase the uniqueness and value of product or service with vision. In short pitch competition helps raising funds and attracting customers with a future of action. It also helps in branding.” 

Roopa Soni, Director, Soulfit said, “Pitching competition creates an unparallel opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas, talent, gain experience and secure funding for the same and act as a catalyst for the growth and development of women led startup’s by providing them an opportunity to showcase their talent , encash their ideas and in return  providing them invaluable resources , mentorship opportunities and an access to a supportive community.” 

Dr. Juhi Garg, Founder and CEO, DivIn Pro Pvt Ltd said, “The We Pitch Competition is a vital platform empowering women entrepreneur to showcase their innovative ideas and gain the support they need to bring them to life. By fostering a community of collaboration and mentorship, it helps bridge the gap between ambition and achievement, paving the way for women-led ventures to thrive." 

Nebedita Ganguly, Astronumerologist, said “I thought we pitch competition was really a good platform created by Womennovator to select the best women entrepreneurs who can set a benchmark in the society. It was wonderful to see how strong women these days are ...I wish everyone a good luck!”. 

Pooja Chauhan, Founder POAS group said “I think women can do anything they want in this world. Dream big do not give a break. Keep working hard. It’s ok if someone is laughing at you-it’s ok if somebody pulling you back down. You just keep working hard. You just keep looking up at the sky and reach your goals. I felt privileged attending this event and congratulate the Womennovator team for this wonderful effort.”

WE - PITCH is one of its kind enterprise elevator pitch series which has been designed to give Women Start-up/ Micro/ Small/ Medium Enterprise, Leaders & Social Activists a platform to connect with the Industry' best entrepreneurs, professionals/CEOs, women community leaders/ Activists and Women leaders.

It is an initiative for Women Start-up/ Micro/ Small/ Medium Enterprise, Leaders & Social Activists to learn and grow from a variety of experiences including the success stories from others. Various Stakeholders to be covered under a single Umbrella. The intersection of technology and ideas leading to the effective translation of R & D activities for commercial gains.
