Sajida Nadeem, the Founder Director of the Dr. Zakir Hussain Foundation, is a true source of inspiration. She is a self-made woman and a proud mother of two sons. Her journey has been filled with challenges, but she has emerged from them even stronge... r. She alongwith her husband Nadeem Raja, an enthusiastic and socially active man, started their own NGO to reach out to those in need. Sajida wholeheartedly supported her husband in realizing his dreams, overcoming numerous obstacles along the way. Together, they officially established their NGO as the Dr. Zakir Hussain Foundation in 2004. Despite facing financial constraints and having a limited team, Sajida tirelessly balanced her personal and professional life. In their mission to uplift the foundation, they dedicated themselves to aiding society through various means such as medical assistance, health camps, blood donation drives, organizing seminars on pressing social issues, and promoting education. The Foundation demanded an unparalleled level of dedication, devotion, commitment, and a tremendous amount of sacrifice, which both Sajida and her husband unwaveringly provided. The Dr. Zakir Hussain Foundation is a registered, ISO-certified, non-political, non-governmental organization that relies on self-funding. Its primary focus is to assist the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society by addressing their socioeconomic development and empowerment concerns. Guided by the principle of "SERVICE TO HUMAN BEING IS SERVICE TO GOD," the foundation relentlessly works towards the growth and upliftment of families living below the poverty line, striving for selfless service to humanity. The Foundation's team is committed to educating and empowering every individual to become agents of positive social change. They firmly believe that every citizen deserves equal opportunities to flourish, irrespective of their color, caste, or religion. Today, the Dr. Zakir Hussain Foundation proudly supports more than 35,000 beneficiaries through various initiatives, including medical aid, rehabilitation programs, the distribution of aids and appliances, scholarships, and other welfare activities. Ms. Sajida, as the Founder Director, has been at the forefront of these efforts, providing exemplary social service and benefiting thousands of people. The Foundation now operates a Charitable Ambulance facility, a Sewing Training Centre, and a Coaching & Guidance Centre. Her primary focus lies in health, education, and women's empowerment. Sajida extends her support to women through initiatives like girl child education, financial aid to women in need, and vocational training in sewing and tailoring to promote financial self-sustainability. She has built a network of women activists in Aligarh City to address critical women's issues such as "Female Foeticide," "Women's Safety," and Women's Empowerment in the interiors of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. She champions these causes both as an individual and as a trustee of the Dr. Zakir Hussain Foundation. Sajida's exceptional management skills are evident in her successful organization of over 20 seminars, conferences, symposiums, and workshops under the Foundation's banner. Moreover, she has mentored numerous students from Aligarh and other universities during their summer internships, guiding them towards meaningful social contributions. Read more

Since 2004, I started my individual effort of activism to address social problems. I am the Member of Advisory Committee, PCPNDT, Aligarh Commissionary, Aligarh and Founder Member of Dr. Zakir Hussain Foundation, Aligarh. I am the Executive Member... s - Parents’ Representative of School Management Committee of Ayesha Tarin Modern Public School, Aligarh. I have maintained a network of women activists in my city to show solidarity in women’s issues – “female feticide”, “Women’s Safety”, “Women Empowerment” in interiors of Aligarh, UP”. We have made many charitable contributions with hospitals for poor patients in the form of providing medical aid and appliances and distributed Scholarships, bicycles and sewing machines to poor girls/separated/divorced/widowed women in locals of Aligarh. Besides this, Wheel Chairs, Tricycles and Scooter have aslo been donated every year to poor visually challenged students and others. I am a committed and result oriented social activist associated with Dr. Zakir Hussain Foundation as General Secretary since 2004 and as Director, Women Empowerment Cell since 2018. I have been closely attached with social welfare activities ever since. I have been running ZHF Sewing Training Centre for women to make them self dependent, ZHF Coaching & Guidance Centre for Poor students and Charitable Ambulance Facility for poor patients in Aligarh District. I am extremely passionate about education of girls and the issue of widely prevalent malnutrition among women and children. I was instrumental in bringing positive energy and ideas to ‘Health Awareness’ and ‘Creation of Livelihood options’ programs. I have the unique ability of connecting the dots. During a nutrition awareness camp, I came up with an idea of providing training to people in food preservation. I effectively persuaded the Executive Committee arguing that, while these trainings could help overcome the problem of seasonal non-availability of certain food items, they can also be a source of employment to women. For last three years, I have been engaged in Career Counseling of poor girls. I do frequently visit in different schools in BPL areas and motivate girls for education. In case of financial obstacles, I do make connectivity for their uniform, books as well as fee. I have been actively involved in volunteering for and organizing several health camps. Many times, I have also impressed with my organizational abilities and organized following National / Regional Seminars/Conferences/Symposium on the following themes: ORGANIZED NATIONAL/REGIONAL SEMINARS/CONFERENCES: Successfully Organized following National/Regional Seminar/Conferences/Symposium as “ORGANIZING SECRETARY” on different social burning issues and brought out Magazines/Souvenirs as detailed below:- • National Development: Uplift of the weaker sections of the society in 2006 • Communal Harmony for National Integration: A Social Responsibility in 2007 • Women’s Safety: Responsibility of Society in 2008 • Female Feticide: A Blot on Mankind in 2009 • Child Advocacy: A Need of Contemporary Society in 2010 • Juvenile Crime: Global Dimensions in 2011 • Corruption: An Obstacle in National Growth in 2012 • Water Conservation & Impact of Climate Change on Environment in 2013 • Drug Addiction: A Growing Menace in 2013 • Vulnerability of the Contemporary Woman: Current Scenario in 2014 • Service to Humanity: Priority, Need & Relevance in 2015 • Maintaining Peace and Communal Harmony: Role and Mutual Responsibilities in 2016 • Healthy Minds:Healthy Nation in 2017 • Sir Syed’s Vision and Efforts For Women’s Education in 2018. • Social Media: Issues And Challenges in January 2019 • Women Empowerment And Progressive Social Change in 2019
